Our Old Island Market Farm offers:

Fresh locally grown non-GMO vegetables free from synthetic fertilizers and pesticides
Large to extra-large brown eggs from our flock of protected free-range laying hens

As we continue to grow, we will be able to offering a larger variety of high-quality fruits and veggies.

WEEKLY VEGGIE BOX

Our weekly veggie box program runs from late June to mid October - approximately 20 weeks. Our season could start earlier or extend later than expected as the weather and growing conditions allow. Being our inaugural season, we appreciate your flexibility and willingness to bear with us as we grow.

As the growing season begins, you can expect the first couple weeks to consist of early season, light crops such as salad mixes, greens, sprouts etc. However, as the growing season progresses the quantity and variety of your vegetables will also expand. This year we intend to grow a variety of the following:

salad and greens mix
carrots, beets and radishes
squash and cucumbers
tomatoes and peppers
onions, leeks and garlic
broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage
beans and peas
assorted fresh herbs
plus a few surprises....

It is our passion to grow the best vegetables we can. Although we are not certified organic we endeavor to grow our veggies and fruit with organic principles in mind by not using any synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.

FRESH EGGS

We have a limited supply of large brown eggs available weekly, throughout the entire year.

Try as they might, our hens are not always able to meet the demands of our customers, so eggs are reserved and sold on a first come, first served basis.

Be sure to indicate on your weekly order if you need eggs as they go very quickly.

FLOWER & VEGETABLE PLANT SALE

In May we will be offering a limited supply of starter plants for you to purchase and grow in your own garden.

The plant sale will occur at our market gardens and the dates, prices and variety will be confirmed shortly.

Please remember that when purchasing starter plants form us to only put them out in the garden when the risk of frost has passed.

HOW IT WORKS:

Each week you will be provided with a variety of freshly picked veggies valued at approximately $25. We rather a pay-as-you-go program, although your first order will be a double payment of $50 which covers your first and your last week of the program.

When you've placed your first order, you provide us with your e-mail address so we can send you a weekly reminder for the upcoming order and payment as well as a list of the varieties of vegetables you can expect that week.

It is possible with weather and related growing restrictions that we could have a slow-grow week. Should this be the case we will notify you as such and make sure you receive extra produce when there is an abundence. Additional veggies boxes can be ordered if you require more; when you fill out your weekly order, just identify what your requirements are for the week.

As this is our first year providing a veggie box to customers please bear with us as we learn and grow. We strive to provide the best for our customers and our family.
